Philosophy Statement
Waukee Technology Education students will engage with student-centered and industry-related projects that prepare them for both careers and consumerism. Students will work with a variety of materials, collaborate through a problem-solving process, and adapt and persevere during challenges and successes.
Curriculum Review
The Technology Education curriculum was reviewed during the 2020-2021 school year. The curriculum team utilized Iowa, national and Project Lead the Way standards to review and revise district learning objectives for all students. The team emphasized creating engaging experiences for students to help them attain the skills to be college and/or career-ready when they graduate from the Waukee CSD.
