Activities
We have a proud tradition of excellence in extracurriculars, which include sports, performing arts, clubs, and organizations. Approximately 75% of our students participating in at least one activity.
Business Services
Our Business Services Department ensures the District’s financial integrity and stability. This department is responsible for developing annual and multi-year budgets, purchasing and procurement, accounting, and payroll.

Child Care
Our District offers before/afterschool and summer child care programming in our elementary schools and preschool with a team of caring, dedicated, and CPR/First Aid certified staff members.
Communications
Our communications team helps the District connect and communicate with families, students, and the community. This department manages the website, social media, media, logos and branding, ParentSquare, emails, and sponsorships.

Community Education
The Community Ed department oversees camps and courses for children and adults. The department also manages facility rentals, the Silver Cord program, tutoring, and intramurals.
Human Resources
Human Resources supports approximately 2,400 staff members dedicated to providing an exceptional learning experience to all students. Additionally, the department oversees substitutes, teacher practicums, and harassment/bullying.

Approximately 1.75 million meals are served to staff and students in the Waukee CSD each year. Nutrition Services develops delicious menu options and handles applications for meal assistance.

Operations
The Operations Department oversees the management and function of the infrastructure for all District facilities and grounds. This department also handle construction oversight, mowing, and snow removal.
Technology
The Technology Department helps maintain a safe and ethical digital environment. This department provides software support for all District-approved applications and is responsible for data and voice networks.
