Waukee Community School District’s 10-year Facility and Financial Plan was created to help map our future growth and development. It includes detailed plans to manage the District’s facility and infrastructure needs, financial health, and enrollment projections. We believe this plan is an intentional, strategic shift to a longer-term, systemic approach to facility planning.

Building Updates
North Middle School – New Construction
- Waiting on approval from City for occupancy
Waukee Innovation & Learning Center – Addition
- Working through code with the City and a temp occupancy certificate
North Operations & Transportation Facility – New Construction
- Operations building is nearly enclosed, waiting on OH doors
- Drywall and finishes have started in the office area
- Transportation building has all metal panels installed, starting work on face brick
- Framing is complete in the office area and MEP is underway.
- Foundations for the fuel work will begin as conditions allow
Waukee High School Auditorium – Addition
- Upper level seating areas are poured
- High mechanical and electrical items nearing completion in auditorium space
- Renovation of the commons started this weekend
- Project is projected to complete on schedule

Facility Plan Funding
The money passed in the Bond Referendums in 2020 and 2023 will be used to secure the funds to pay for the plan.
$180,000,000 GO Bond Referendum – Passed November 2023 at 70%
$205,000,000 GO Bond Referendum – Passed September 2020 at 88%
