2022 Iowa Thespian Festival

Waukee Thespian Troupe #1451 participated in the 2022 Iowa Thespian Festival at the University of Northern Iowa! Students enjoyed a full weekend of competition, learning, and making connections with other theatre students from across the state.

Students had the opportunity to compete in Design and Performance Competitions where a number of Waukee competitors placed in their respective categories and qualified for the International Thespian Festival which takes place in the spring. Students were also able to submit an original script for adjudication. Waukee student Cailtlin Como’s script was chosen to be performed!

Finally, four Waukee students auditioned for college scholarships which resulted in thousands of dollars in scholarship offers from schools across the nation. Waukee scholarship auditionees were: Will Bower, Caitlin Como, Jade Hogarty, and Tatum Lowell.
