Trailridge School Welcomes Families During Ribbon Cutting
The community gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 10 for our newest building — Trailridge School. Superintendent Dr. Brad Buck, Chief Operating Officer Kirk Johnson, and Principal Adam Shockey issued remarks before students cut the ribbon to officially open the school. After the quick ceremony, many families took the chance to walk through the facility.
Trailridge will welcome 6th and 7th graders when school begins for the 2023-24 school year. It will be our fifth middle-level school (6th – 9th grade) in the District. Besides Trailridge, our current middle-level schools include Waukee Middle School, South Middle School, Timberline School, and Prairieview School. Trailridge is the first building of three to be completed on the 80-acre campus. The Natatorium and North Middle School are the other buildings being constructed on the property.
