On Jan. 12 and 13, Waukee High School hosts Star Struck, the 17th annual show choir competition and jazz choir festival. This year, 25 show choirs and 22 jazz choirs from around the state will attend the event. Performances take place in the Waukee Field House and the Waukee Auditorium. The middle school division begins on Friday, Jan. 12, and the high school division starts on Saturday, Jan. 13. For more information, visit the Star Struck website.

Star Struck Performance Schedule
Before the competition begins, there will be a Waukee Parade of Show Choirs on Thursday, January 11, where all Waukee Show Choirs perform in the Waukee Field House. This is an excellent chance for parents and students to see the fantastic things happening in the Waukee Vocal Music Department. Admission to this event is free, and all are welcome to attend! The schedule is listed below:
- 6:30- Spark (7th Grade)
- 6:45- En Fuego (8th Grade)
- 7:00- Inferno (9th Grade)
- 7:20- Spirit (10-12 Prep)
- 7:55- Millennium (10-12 Varsity)
