Welcoming New Leaders to Waukee CSD Schools

There are new changes to leadership teams in some of our school buildings. Please help us congratulate these current and new staff members.

New Waukee CSD staff members for 2024-25

Shannon Camodeca. Camodeca is a new Assistant Principal for Timberline School and South Middle School. She will spend time in both buildings with the other Assistant Principals — Clay Young (South Middle School) and Kevin Schulte (Timberline). Camodeca comes to our District from Harding Middle School with Des Moines Public Schools where she serves as the Associate Principal.

Jolee Donnelly. Donnelly is the new Assistant Principal of Maple Grove Elementary School. Donnelly comes to Waukee Schools from the Urbandale Community School District, where she currently serves as the Principal of Olmsted Elementary School. Ms. Donnelly lives in the Waukee School District and is excited to work in the same district where her children attend school.

Ms. Donnelly will fill Jordyn Dunlay’s shoes at Maple Grove. Ms. Dunlay spent this school year (2023-24) split between Maple Grove and Woodland Hills Elementary. She will remain at Woodland Hills for the next school year.

two Waukee CSD staff members Transition to new Roles for 2024-25

Gerald Histerman. Histerman has accepted the position of Associate Principal at Northwest High School. He currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Waukee High School, where he’s been since 2017.

Meghan Price. Price will transition to serving as the Assistant Principal at Sugar Creek and Waterford Elementary Schools for the 2024-25 school year. Price currently helps lead at Radiant and Sugar Creek. Next year, Radiant Elementary will not have an Assistant Principal.
