Northwest Track & Field Wins Third Title in Four Years
Northwest High School was the 4A Team Champion at the 2025 Girls Track and Field State Meet, scoring 101.5 total points — 33 points ahead of runner-up Pleasant Valley. It was the third state championship for the program since the high school opened four years ago.
The Wolves set three state meet records and two all-time Iowa records while winning six relay events in their historic performance.
“No school had ever won more than four of the seven relays contested in the same year. Northwest won six relays and placed third in the other,” says Northwest Athletics Director Jim Duea.
